This document is designed to support six core units of the Agriculture and Horticulture Training Package and deals with employment criteria, communication in the workplace, work routine and occupational health and safety matters. This version relates to the Maryborough region of Queensland which has substantial dairy, fruit and vegetable industries It was originally designed to support training which was being delivered both face to face and flexibly in this area. It is divided into six workbooks, each of which provide information, activities and assessment tasks on six different topics: meeting industry requirements; workplace health and safety; using hazardous substances; workplace communication; acting in emergencies; and planning of daily work routines.
